Oase Offline

Oase and BRÆT Café invite you to an analogue morning of board games – on World Mental Health Day.

The plan

  1. Doors open

Come as you are, but leave your phone in your pocket.

  2. Welcome

We welcome you and briefly explain why we've invited you to an analogue morning on this particular day.

  3. Let the games begin

Settle in at a table, say hi to your fellow players and pick one of the café's many board games.

    Ready, set, play!

  4. Thanks for coming

    The event officially ends here.

But do stay on for another game if you're up for a rematch :)

Practical info

  • What does it cost?

It's free and open to everyone. We're guests at BRÆT, so please support them by buying something to drink at the bar.

  • Who can come?

Everyone – families, young people, neighbours, and you if you're coming on your own. You don't need to know anyone or have played board games before.

  • Do I have to hand in my phone?

No, you keep it. But we strongly encourage you to leave it in your pocket – switched off or in aeroplane mode. Board games are more fun without notifications.

  • Who is Oase?

Oase is a digital home for communities.

A safe, algorithm-free alternative to the tech giants, built in Denmark and designed to strengthen our digital wellbeing and our in-person communities. Without distractions.

    Less noise. More community. Oase.
